Deviná is a creative collective devoted to the upliftment of consciousness through enlivening the human spirit. We facilitate intentional spaces for people to make contact with the unchanging within in ways that are enduring and regenerative for the whole.

Through our integrative self-inquiry methodology, we bridge science, the arts, and nature to reconnect individuals to who they are and why they’re here. By redirecting the attention within, we support people to live in presence and serve with purpose, in response to the ever evolving needs of the time.

Founder & Facilitator

Avá Joy Sloan is a poet, mystic, and spiritual mentor devoted to guiding others into remembrance of their true nature. With a background in psychology, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and a Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy, her path brings together the non-dual wisdom of the Vedas with embodied, arts-based approaches to self-inquiry.

As a registered arts therapist, yoga and meditation teacher, and entheogenic practitioner, Avá has guided people from around the world in retreats and medicine spaces. Her Creative Self-Inquiry approach offers a grounded pathway for those seeking clarity, inner peace, and transformation that lasts.

Through circles, ceremonies, and community, Avá creates spaces that are warm, genuine, and held with depth — places where people can feel safe to let go, discover who they truly are, and align their lives with what matters most. Her work is rooted in humility and a devotion to supporting the unfolding of each person’s unique path.

Miles is a musician, teacher, and guide devoted to helping others rediscover their creative freedom and authentic expression. With years of experience as a musician, songwriter, and mentor, he has witnessed the transformative power of music as both personal expression and universal language.

As founder of the Aquarian Music School, Miles developed an intuitive approach to teaching music that blends solid foundations with play, improvisation, and spontaneity — opening students of all levels to confidence, creativity, and joy. His guidance goes beyond technique, inviting people to experience music as a pathway into presence, connection, and flow.

Through sound journeys, ceremony, and community spaces, Miles weaves voice, rhythm, and soundscapes that invite release, deep feeling, and restoration. His work guides others to let go of fear, come home to the body, and awaken to the unifying power of sound as medicine.

Balance

Begins Within

True balance in the world begins within. By awakening beyond the ego mind—we begin to naturally restore harmony within ourselves and in turn, the world around us. Nature is balance, and by awakening to our shared interconnectedness, we naturally bring about balance to life around us by living in gracious reciprocity. In these times, ‘sustainability’ is no longer sustainable. We must be regenerative in our thinking, living, giving and receiving. Nature requires us to be adaptive and responsive to life in order to remain evolutionary and relevant to the whole.

Inner Peace

As Within, So Without

We believe peace should not be a privilege but a birthright. Peace is a grass roots movement, in that global peace can only come through more individuals accessing peace within. Peace exists before the thought that it does not. We value peace as our natural state of being, from which peaceful action arises.

Service

Evolutionary and Regenerative

With service comes purpose, and the greatest use of the individual is to be of service to the whole. When we are of service to others, our lives feel rich, meaningful and fulfilling. In the giving, we receive. Each soul is a unique expression of the divine, and the highest service they can offer the collective, is the full realisation of their authentic gift. Service that is regenerative arises in presence and responds to the needs of the time.
